Delhi Government Health Van Facility for Mentally Challenged Patient

New Delhi, Dec 8 (PTI) Delhi government has decided to start a mobile health van facility equipped with all facilities for mentally challenged patients.

Delhi Government has declared to start launch two vans for mentally challenged patients on the occasion of “Mental Health Awareness Week” organized by Institute of Human Behaviours and Allied Sciences

According to Delhi Health minister Kiran Walia “mobile van was part of the programme of Delhi government aimed at welfare of mentally challenged patients.

An orientation and refresher course will also be started for training the health counsellors engaged in the work for the help and motivation of mentally challenged patients so that their perspective towards the patient can be changed”
minister Kiran Walia also said “the government will also ask the NGOs to start rescue services for the helpless mentally challenged patients.”
